Greer's Baptism

We had a very special weekend around here because our sweet baby boy was baptized today. He did so well, and we enjoyed having lots of family in town for the special occasion. He is just the happiest little guy around.
Lollie explaining to him that this is the only time in his life when he has to wear a dress!! He didn't mind it too much though...
All of the family after the service. We couldn't have asked for better weather!

Our babies...

Flowers on the baptismal font...absolutely gorgeous just like they were for Ellie's...

There was lots of bribery to get this bow to stay in her hair!

The best nanny & cousin ever! Leigh has been keeping our babies since August, and they are both loving her!

G.G. Mama made it too!

He had such a great day!
And so did his big sister! I think she enjoyed not having to take a nap. By about 5:45 she passed out on Daddy's lap, and that is a rarity for her!

"Monkey Business"
These two have been up to no good lately. Ellie figured out how to climb out of her bed on Saturday! I looked on the monitor and much to my surprise she wasn't in her crib! A few seconds later I hear some banging around in her bathroom and found her standing by the door trying to get out. Time to order the bed rails...
This little monkey has decided that flipping to his tummy during nap time and in the middle of the night is fun! I think he's finally figured out that tummy-sleeping is much more comfortable though so that's his new thing.
The other little monkey has apparently been hiding waffles in her turtle! We found this one the other day! You would not believe the things we find "hidden" in her turtle!

Busy Week Full of "Firsts!!"

Ellie is taking a dance class this year and had her first class on Tuesday. I must say it was one of the cutest things I have ever seen! There were 9 2-year old little girls running around in pink tutus and ballet shoes including this little ballerina. She got all decked out from head to toe and even insisted on wearing her bracelet and necklace! In our mad dash out the door this is the best I could get of her all dolled up. Hopefully I can get some of her in action this week!
She had her first day of school on Wednesday and boy was she ready. She was SO excited!
She looks so big after this recent growth spurt she has had!

In her new classroom.
On Saturday a very special friend, Miss Katherine Crowe, had her 2nd birthday party!! I wish I had more pictures of her adorable "Crayon" bday theme. Her Mama knows how to do it up and left no detail out! It was so cute, and Ellie had a blast. She and K just happened to have on their matching swimsuits!
The Birthday Girl discovered what she's been missing out on for the past 2 years...juice boxes!!!
We went to church this morning, and when we got home E and I discovered that her baby had on a matching dress to hers. E has started asking me to take pictures of her so how can I turn that down?! I usually dart for my camera before she change her mind!
After church we took naps and rested up for the fall festival that our church hosted. We had an absolute blast. Bouncey houses, pony rides, clowns, ice cream, popcorn, swings, slides galore!
Everything was set up at the park near our house so we just walked over.
Ellie rode a horse for the very first time! I wasn't sure how she would react when it was actually time to "saddle up," but she hopped right on and loved every minute of it!
She didn't want to get off!
The Gammills came out and met us too.
And the Henigs...sweet Mary Clark...

And the Moores came with Baby Matthew who is only 9 days old. Look how sweet!!!

We are worn out but it was so worth it because this girl had a blast!

A Little Place We Like to Call Heaven...

Rosemary Beach! We had the perfect combination for our Labor Day Weekend...Rosemary and the beginning of AU football! Rusty and I discovered Rosemary about 4 years ago and have been obsessed with it ever since. We were able to twist my dad's arm and talk him into renting us a house for the long weekend, and we all enjoyed every minute of it.
On Saturday, Rosemary had a kids block party with a bouncy house and all! E had a blast! My babies got all decked out in their favorite team colors.

Ellie stopped to do a few AU cheers for me. We've taught her Track 'Em and Botta Getta!
She She spent the weekend with us too!

I had to throw this in...here is Ellie at exactly Greer's age. This is when we went to Rosemary 2 years ago for Labor Day...
Here's Greer...they are starting to not look so much alike to me...

I think we went to the Sugar Shak 3 times while we were there! First stop...Ellie had to get a swirly lollipop.
See what happens when I leave Lollie in charge!
I had to document this...Ellie walking around the house with her stuffed bell pepper that she was eating! We found 3 new things that she loves on this trip...bell pepper, celery, and shrimp! Amazing...
We got some good beach time in...
On Sunday the water looked like the Carribean. There were literally no waves, and Ellie went way out in the water several times. It was perfect for swimming.
My little buddy did so well on the beach. Napped on and off and just hung out like he always does.
Our best attempt.
We did a lot of this...walking and riding bikes. Why did we take the double stroller? G spent the entire time "ridin' solo!" His big sis wanted to walk with everyone else.
2nd trip to the Sugar Shak for ice cream! (the 3rd trip was on the way out b/c Lollie insisted on getting E the HUGE butterfly lollipop she had promised the day before). Made for a sticky, messy ride home!
We went to the playground a LOT!
We ALL played!
You see...Ellie has no cousins her age so when we're with my family we all participate in keeping her entertained!
G's 1st time in the swing, and he LOVED it!

He couldn't get enough! I think he stayed in the swing for 30 minutes!
We're still working on the rice cereal thing.
Lollie and her babies. She specifically asked me not to post this pic, but I think its too cute not to!
E loved the fountain on our back porch.
We had an awesome weekend and hope to make this an annual event. Lollie, we're holding you to it! :)
