Santa Claus

We got to go see this guy today...
and I never dreamed we would get a picture this perfect! Rusty and I have been talking Santa Claus up literally all week. Last year turned out like this... Pitiful isn't it? I truly didn't think this year was going to be much better because she has been telling us that she "doesn't like Santa Claus." When I told her this morning that we were going to see him, she said, "today?" Then she said, "No, I don't want to see him today." Then once we got there she warmed up to him and did great! I knew Greer would be fine since he's still too young to know the difference. Santa was really, really smart because he had a candy cane waiting just for Ellie, and it worked like a charm! When we got to the table to eat lunch she looked up at me and said, "Mama, I forgot to tell him I want a scooter." How sweet!!!!!!

We got up bright and early (6 am to be exact) in our Christmas pj's and all ready to go! Greer has decided sleeping at night is over-rated. I shouldn't be so dramatic because its not that bad, but his sleeping habits are a far cry from his sister's who was sleeping 8 to 8 every night at this age! I think that spoiled me.
I really wish I would've gotten my tree skirt down before Rus decided to take these!!

We had a great day together!
The Mikos' joined us to go see Santa too!
Jackson's reaction was reminiscent of Ellie's from last year...
Mallory also joined us, and she and Ellie got to do some fun crafts.

Ellie showing off her ornament she made and her reindeer food.
I wanted to show off all of his teeth!
Ellie and her "Geer Geer." That's her latest nickname for him, and its really cute so we've all been calling him that around here.
We're really looking forward to Christmas this year. Ellie is at a really fun age where she is soaking up every bit and explaining the true meaning to her actually makes a little sense to her.
