It has been a busy week around here, and it is not even over yet! We had more special visitors stop by, Marie and Genevieve! Greer and Genevieve spent the first year of their life together but haven't seen each other since we moved from Birmingham so Marie and I were anxious to get them together. Unfortunately Greer was in a little "mood" for some reason, but Genevieve was sweet as pie! So glad we got to see them while they were in town!
And this little girl got a haircut...see how proud she is...
Isn't it great???
She seriously was so proud of HERSELF for this! After we had a serious talk about how she is to never do that again (yeah right knowing this child), she looked up at me and said, "but Mom I'm a princess, and princesses cut their own hair." I explained to her that princesses must go to a special person to get their hair cut, a special person that actually knows how to cut hair! She also backed her case up by saying, "And Mom, you've been saying you wanted me to get a trim so I just did it myself." It's just downright funny now, oh, and as luck would have it, she's got school pictures next week. Lovely! We go Monday for a "repair!" She wore her hair in a ponytail with bobby pins to school today because the short pieces won't even stay up! For the love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And...my baby turned 2 months old this week. Time has flown by just like I knew it would. I just can't believe it. He is still my little angel baby and so happy.
Right now we think he is a good combination of both Ellie and Greer as babies. We went for his 8-week check-up today, and everything went great. Here are his stats:
Weight - 14 lbs. 3.5 oz. (95th%)
Length - 24 inches (80th%)
*I looked up Greer, and he weighed 14 lbs. 4 oz. at this age! Isn't that amazing?!
I forgot to post his 1-month stats when we went, and they were:
Weight - 12 lbs. 1 oz.
Length - 22 inches
He started smiling right around 5 weeks, and he has just started cooing at us. I am soaking up every second I get with him because I know he will be grown in the blink of an eye!
