4th of July Week

The Saturday before the 4th, Rusty and I (without the kids) headed here...
This would be the Ritz in Amelia Island. He won a trip through AllState, and we enjoyed every second of our 4-night stay! This was our first trip since Sims was born in January so needless to say it was a much-needed break for us.
We found out a couple of months before the trip that our friends, Adam and Catherine, head down to Amelia every 4th of July so we were excited to spend some time with them!

I wasn't very good with breaking the camera out, but I did get a shot one night before dinner...
We had a nice dinner with the Kinnards...

Then bright and early on the 4th we got up and headed to the lake to see our babies! It was a special day for this little guy because it was his 6-month birthday!
I know I always say it, but I really cannot believe he is already 6 months old. He just started babbling a good bit. His first "word" to babble..."mmm, mm, ma, ma." I love it! He is getting close to sitting up without support but not quite there yet. He is definitely the most laid back out of all 3!
We were excited to see Miss Priss too and of course broke the sparklers out!

I stayed at the lakehouse with Simmy while the rest of the fam headed on the boat to see the fireworks...
This one always melts my heart, and Rusty gets on to me for letting him get away with anything and everything so needless to say I was happy to see this sweet little face as well! Lovin his bed-head...
This was really our first extended, relaxing stay at my parent's lakehouse, and it was awesome!
The kids spent hours swimming in the lake!
Greer was cracking us up on Sissy's float...
I've got a Lightning McQueen one just like it on order. I decided he needs his own!
We spent LOTS of time on the tube. Thomas' friend Webb was with us for the weekend so of course Ellie and Greer had to ride the tube with him!
By far Greer's favorite thing to do..."ride the wavewunna..."

We had a great time and look forward to many more great times at the lake!
