We had an awesome Father's Day weekend. Ellie got to go swimming 3 times! It started Friday evening with a family trip to the pool where we enjoyed some good bbq too! Saturday night Nancy, Chris, and Wesley came over to grill out, and Ellie and Wesley had a great time playing. Then today, Sunday, we went to church for the first time since Greer's arrival (when we picked E up from the nursery, she turned around to all of her little friends and shouted, "this is my baby brother!" it was so cute!), had a nice Father's Day lunch, and then met the Gammill's at the pool for Ellie to swim again! All I can say is that Greer has been an absolute angel baby over the past couple of weeks. He has really settled into a good routine and makes it so easy for us to get out and about. All 3 times we were at the pool over the weekend he slept the entire time. He even fell asleep in the swing this morning while we were all running around trying to get ready for church. I'm sure most of you are saying, "What's the big deal?" Well, it's a really big deal to me because my first baby was the total opposite, and it just makes me truly appreciate Greer's little laid-back personality! It's so nice to be able to take him anywhere and everywhere and not have to be on pins and needles the entire time worrying that he's going to have an outburst! We go for his 8-week check-up tomorrow, and I'm not looking forward to it...the shots just get to me every time!
Now, time to brag on the 2 best father's in my life (and 2 of Ellie's most favorite people in the world)! Daddy...you are the best Daddy to our children, and we are so truly thankful to have you in our lives!!

I wanted to get a picture of them together with their Daddy, but Greer was doing this during lunch so I didn't want to disturb him!
Ellie insisted on getting a picture with her brother anyway!

And, to the other Daddy in my life....we love and appreciate you SO much Poppy!!!!
And, for kicks, I decided to pull out some pics of Ellie at 8 weeks and compare them to Greer. Here's Greer at 8 weeks...
And here's Ellie (this was taken on Father's Day Sunday 2008)...
and so was this (it's funny because they're the exact same age for holidays, etc since their bdays are only 3 days apart)...
Think they look alike? I definitely think so...Greer's cheeks are just a little fuller than hers at this age.I had to beg the little stinker to get in a pic with me!
More weekend fun...playing in the sandbox...
Our summer is great so far! Life with 2 definitely has its challenges, but we are loving every minute of it! Rusty and I just started laughing tonight watching Ellie be the wild child that she is. She ran up to me when we got back from the pool, and said, "Mama, I need 40 dollars" as serious as could be. Then, as she was doing summer saults on the living room floor, she stood up and said, "That's hilarious," and put her little hand over her mouth and laughed. Never a dull moment!
