Easter 2011

We started our weekend off with heading down to Rusty's grandmother's house and guess who was there...one of Ellie's favorite people in the world...her cousin Mary Mykal! We had fun dying eggs on Friday night.

We got up Saturday morning and headed to Atmore to go see the Easter bunny. Ellie had been asking me for weeks to see him, and she finally got to. Greer missed out on the fun because it was during his morning nap
After seeing the bunny we headed to Poppy's office to pay him a visit. Ellie loves going up there and seeing all of the doggies!

We then got to Lollie & Poppy's and picked some flowers.

Flowers just don't stand a chance when she is around. Our poor neighbors lost at least 2-3 pansies a day because of Miss Priss!

Lollie spoiled Greer like always and let him eat some of her Easter cookies!

Then on Sunday morning we got up to see what the Easter bunny brought Greer...

and Ellie...

She was so excited about her very own bike!

Ellie's breakfast on Easter morning...quite the healthy mix of goldfish, Skittles, and M&M's! And no, thankfully she didn't get sick!

The sprinklers came on that afternoon, and they had a blast playing in them.

We had a great Easter weekend with family. Our original plans were to stay in Birmingham, but the last minute plan to head south ended up being a good one! We were very fortunate and didn't have any damage from the horrible storms that came through this past Wednesday. Our hearts are heavy for all of those who have lost their homes and/or loved ones.
